Remote Monitoring openGear Probes – RMoG (Hardware):An openGear monitor-on-a-card Probe (installed in an openGear chassis) is available with MAVRIC. The openGear card is well suited for installation at un-manned or other remote locations, where broadcast signals need to be monitored. One example use case is OB Trucks, where the truck manager might wish to provide remote monitoring of signals in the truck to remote operators, who might be located in the broadcast center.
openGear Probes support remote monitoring of a single selected video source along with 8 audio channels.
The card has inputs for 12G SDI baseband, as well as ST2110 that can be monitored remotely.
The card also has optional Dante and Ravenna hardware, that can be used to remotely monitor those signals.
MADI is also available as an input, making the overall solution ideally suited for OB Truck environments.
The remote interface displays meters, phase and metadata for these audio as well as metadata the selected video source.
Operators can also choose to listen to the 8 channels being monitored remotely.
All current generation Wohler in-rack monitors have builtin software audio-only probes.
These probes can be registered with MAVRIC to enable remote monitoring of up to 8 selected audio channels.
The 8 audio channels can be a combination of audio channels selected from various inputs available on the in-rack monitor.
The remote interface displays meters, phase and metadata for these 8 channels.
Audio Loudness for a selected cluster of audio channels is also displayed.
A pair of audio channels out of the 8 being displayed can be selected for remote listening. The in-rack monitor has the capability to encode a single pair of audio channels at a time, and therefore the last selected paid is made available for remote listening to all remote viewers.
